Here at Crescent City Radio we have a Code of Ethics that governs what we do and how we approach our goals at the station. Code of Ethics Crescent City Radio
- We
respect music and the musical endeavor. We will be tolerant and
respectful towards music and musicians of all type, even if we have
different tastes. People who create music are worthy of our respect.
- We
will refrain from using language that is obscene and profane, knowing
that some people can be upset by such language and our reputation will
be damaged by it. Such language can be part of artistic expression and
critical thought, but when it is not used in those contexts it only
serves to embarrass us and show a lack of maturity.
- We will be good
stewards of the resources we have available.
- Professionalism
and integrity are qualities we will embrace. CCR should represent
the best of good radio in it's thoughtful programming, diverse music,
and interesting personalities. We strive to always do the best job at
producing our radio programming and taking the moral high road in our
interactions with stakeholders.
- We welcome all views on the
important issues of our time and will never turn away someone's
contribution due to race, gender, ethnicity, age, politics, social
status, or perspective. We will not censor a person's views that have
been arrived at in a thoughtful and critical manner.
