James Lambert of Lambert Nation will be interviewing Kevin Rabalias, Loyola University English Professor, about the new Walker Percy Center that will be opening tomorrow here at Loyola. CCR is changing our web stream hosting provider soon and with this change brings some welcome upgrades. Soon our web stream will increase it's bitrate to 128K for even better quality sound. This change is scheduled to take place tomorrow during automated programming but you may have to update your bookmarks if you have our stream IP address saved in your music player. Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore from the Whitest Kids U Know will be in-studio March 10th to promote their new film Miss March on A Study in Variety with Andrew at 4pm.  As an added bonus we will have three (yes as in 3) sets of tickets for an advanced screening of the film to give out. Hey guys it's official, The Devil Wears Prada will be coming to Crescent City Radio! They will be in studio Sunday, March 22 at 1:00pm to be interviewed by CCR's very own DJ and host of "The Pit," Jason Root. Three members of the band will be hanging out in studio to give you the low down on what is in store for the future and to promote their show at the House of Blues that night. The Devil Wears Prada is a metalcore band formed in 2005, in Dayton, Ohio. They are currently signed to Ferret Records and have amassed a large underground following on PureVolume and MySpace.

The hit female R&B group Electrik Red will be stopping by Crescent City Radio tomorrow 12-1pm (February 13th) for an interview with CCR DJ Alex McConduit. Come in and hang out in the lounge while the girls stop in for a few questions. The multi-talented group are now getting ready to release their debut album which has rapidly become heavily anticipated thanks to the massive buzz surrounding Electrik Red’s first single, “Drink In My Cup.” The slinky, yet hard hitting atmospheric “Drink In My Cup” showcases the girl’s flowing harmonies and edgy phrasing. The mix of street and seduction makes it clear Electrik Red is taking mainstream R&B to an entirely new level.

This Wednesday, February 11th 11am-12pm, "Science Matters" will be broadcasting a special show reflecting the Loyola Communities view on Darwin and evolution. Submit your reflections to be read on the air to Dr. Craig Hood (chood@loyno.edu) or drop them in the drop boxes in Monroe Hall.

 Regarding The Devil Wears Prada appearance, I am getting in touch with their PR person next week to put the final touches on everything. I'll be sure to give you all the update as soon as I can.


Also as many of you know I have been absent from my show for 2 weeks with James Lambert filling in for me alongside Don Emilio. I have been in the middle of fraternity rushing so unfortunately I have not been able to make it. Hopefully this week ill be able to return and with the Don give you the H Wilder lowdown. The H Wilder show has a lot of new stuff coming up so be sure to tune in every Wednesday from 10pm-12am.
